Spain, Luxembourg, Germany

Ironman European Championship runner-up Jan Raphael spontaneously decided to start at the Wild Wolf Triathlon in Palma de Mallorca. 1.5 kilometers swimming , 41.5 kilometers on the bike and final 10 km running were the distances he had to deal with. In the end, the clock stopped at 1:53:59 hours and so it was quite a successful start for the upcoming training time with the POWER HORSE Triathlon Team in Mallorca. After the race, Raphael made his way to Viva Blue Hotel in Alcudia, the team training base for the next two weeks.

Potrebitsch satisfied with second place

At Ratingen Triathlon the spectators saw an exciting head -to-head race between George Potrebitsch and the youngster Simon Jung. "I tried to make pressure on the bike again and again," Potrebitsch later summarized his race strategy, "but Simon was difficult to shake off." This duo already knows quite a few years, got together out of the water after one kilometer swimming. On the 40 hilly kilometers by bike, both were able to beat up the rest of the field. For Potrebitsch this race was the last hard session prior to Challenge Amsterdam next Saturday (September 14).

Reichel with "good positioning"

With Horst Reichel another POWER HORSE Triathlon Team athlete was in a competition this weekend. Before the Ironman 70.3 Luxembourg he told a top 3 placement as his personal goal. He could achieve this goal, but he looks back: "During the swim the later winner Axel Zeebroek was up and away. While cycling I tried to close the gap," argues Reichel, "but there was nothing to do!” For the Ironman World Championship in Hawaii Reichel still wants to work on his bike performance and with his coach he will develop a recipe that will also put in, in the team camp in Mallorca.
