Daniel Juncadella

In October 2015, we presented the 24 year old Mercedes-AMG DTM driver Daniel Juncadella as first Ambassador of the team. Juncadella is a very ambitious triathlete. His big goal is qualifying for the Ironman Hawaii 2016. Although it is only 4 years that he competes actively in triathlons, he was 30th overall at the Ironman 70.3 Budapest, proofing that he is absolutely on his way to Hawaii.

What is your daily motivation?
Trying to be better than yesterday in every aspect. Whatever I do that I have done in the past, I always try to do it better. That keeps me motivated.

Favorite training area?
Andorra, climbing the mountains with my road bike.

What is your special need - besides your equipment - for race day?
Good music before competing. Always try to shut the brain off for a while with music. The genre depends on my day mood!

The most beautiful (1.) and the most distressing (2.) experience in your career:
The most beautiful experience was winning the Macau Formula 3 Grand Prix in 2011 and I don’t think it can be equaled (the feeling). Have never been asked about the most distressing one! And never thought of it as I consider myself quite a distressed human being.

How would you describe yourself in one phrase?
Don’t speak unless you can improve on silence (Describes kind of how my personality is).
